About · Est. 1982 at Whitmoor Bay

Only the fourth professional in the club’s history.

Whitmoor Links was founded over a century ago. In all that time, just four professionals have kept the shop at Whitmoor Bay. Elliot Vaughn has been one of them for over three decades.

The story

A career that starts and ends at Whitmoor Bay.

Elliot arrived at Whitmoor Links in 1982 as an assistant professional, earning full PGA status three years later. After competing on the regional circuits and a first Head Professional post inland, he returned to Whitmoor in 1993 to take on the role he holds today.

Since then he has represented the region’s club professionals, played his way through open qualifying against tour fields, and been named a regional PGA Club Professional of the Year. Most weeks, though, you’ll find him where he started — on the range at Whitmoor Bay, helping members and visitors play better golf.
